Affordable Style, beading, DIY Tutorials, mothers day -

Every year I try to create something special for the moms in my life. This years I made wine glass and bottle charms. I attached different color crystal beads to differentiate each charm. Is it me or is this handmade movement catching on? There was a time when my friends needed to spruce up their homes, they would head to the closest decor department and get something off the rack. You see, like me, she loves butterflies. [caption id="attachment_153" align="alignnone" width="398" caption="Catching butterflies"][/caption] We were hanging out one weekend and...

When I was younger, I loved jumping on on my bed. I bugged my parents, so naturally, I continued doing it - but then, I became a parent and it was time for payback, because my son took pleasure in leaping on his bed, over his bed, off his bed, you name it he was doing it - and he invited his friends to join in. [caption id="attachment_143" align="alignnone" width="360" caption="Jumping Over the bed  "][/caption] I designed this pillow several years ago especially for Matthew. He is a teenager now and no longer jumps on the bed, but I must...

When I was in middle school (primary school) my art teacher would take us on nature walks and we would use things found in nature in our art projects. I guess she left a lasting impression, because I still take nature and my projects are still inspired by tings found in nature. These days, I take along my cell phone so that I can capture interesting images. The following is the 'view from my cell phone' [caption id="attachment_131" align="alignnone" width="420" caption="Growing in the wild"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_135" align="alignnone" width="420" caption="Hanging from a plam tree"][/caption] I wonder what was going on here,...
