Pretty Painted Butterflies
My best friend's daughter is turning 7 this week and I was thinking of making her some earrings from some butterfly Swarovski crystals that I have been saving for the occasion. But last Friday she called and told me that she wanted me to make her something pretty for her new room - they just moved to a new home - I was more than happy to do it, in fact, I had a design that was inspired by her. You see, like me, she loves butterflies.

We were hanging out one weekend and we decided to go on a nature walk. We did not get very far because we were a bit preoccupied with the beautiful butterflies fluttering about. As soon as I got home, I got out my sketch pad and started on the design pictured above. I hope she likes it - if she does, I will make her a matching shade for her lamp to complete the look.
