Flower Pot/Plant Pot Make Over Mother's day is fast approaching (May 10th, 2015) and instead of heading to the mall to purchase gifts for all my mommy friends, I opted to create handcrafted gifts.  And since I am obsessed with all thing garden, I decided to personalize a few inexpensive clay plant pots. You can pick up flower pots from IKEA for as low as .45 cents. Although I am sure you have a few clay pots lying around - so no shopping necessary:) BTW, these would make a great Birthday, Father's day or Just because gift as well. [caption...

Plus a tutorial... One of my closest friends recently became a single dad. This is his first 'Mother's' day. I decided to stitch up a quick and easy gift to help him celebrate. [caption id="attachment_807" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Monogrammed Handkerchiefs"][/caption] I purchased 2 handkerchiefs - I guess I could have made them, but at $1.00 each, I was figured it was worth neglecting my handmade pledge for this project. Pull through slowly to the back of the fabric until the desired petal shape is achieved. (Ribbon will curl into B, so don't pull tightly, or effect will be lost). To vary curl, pierce B to right or left of center of ribbon width. Step 4. Work 5 petals for...

Every year I try to create something special for the moms in my life. This years I made wine glass and bottle charms. [caption id="attachment_186" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Wine glass charms"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_190" align="alignnone" width="297" caption="Twisted"][/caption] These Wine glass charms are made by bending 14 gauge in to a 'S' shape with loop at  ends. I attached different color crystal beads to differentiate each charm. [caption id="attachment_184" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Suction Charms"][/caption] Here I attached beads to suction cups by wrapping beading wire around the back portion. They stick well to smooth surfaces - (I have some stuck to my windows -...
