Flower Pot/Plant Pot Make Over Mother's day is fast approaching (May 10th, 2015) and instead of heading to the mall to purchase gifts for all my mommy friends, I opted to create handcrafted gifts.  And since I am obsessed with all thing garden, I decided to personalize a few inexpensive clay plant pots. You can pick up flower pots from IKEA for as low as .45 cents. Although I am sure you have a few clay pots lying around - so no shopping necessary:) BTW, these would make a great Birthday, Father's day or Just because gift as well. [caption...

I am a gardening enthusiast - some may say that I am a fanatic - I have crammed so many plants on my tiny balcony, the critters are starting to call it home. [caption id="attachment_1037" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="Florida Fall Wreath"][/caption] Over the summer, I had a new AC unit installed at my home and the workmen left behind a piece of foam pipe insulation. It was begging to be used in one of my projects, but I did not know what until I read a blog post...

An up-cycled project Have you ever had the feeling that someone or something was staring at you? True story, I was asleep in my dorm one Saturday night and I had an eerie feeling that I was being stared at. I slowly opened my eyes, and and a bat was hanging upside down from the walls of my cubicle. I guess it was not staring since Jamaican bats (or rat bat as they are called there) are blind. Oddly enough, I was sot spooked - you see, my high school (Hampton School for girls) is over 100 years old -...
