One of my passions is doing silk ribbon embroidery. It's quick, it's easy, it's beautiful, it's instant gratification - its also very delicate. I mention this because I have 2 little girls under the age of 4 and they are fascinated with the lifelike 3 dimensional quality of silk ribbon embroidery. Another Pillow Project
My friend visited Sierra Leone last year and upon his return, he presented me with some beautiful pieces of brilliantly colored fabrics. One piece immediately caught my eye. It's a bold green, yellow, orange and beige stripe fabric with gold accents. It was perfect for my semi annual couch update. Wooden Bar Stool Mod.
My local Ace Hardware store was having a sale on the wooden bar stools pictured below. I needed 2 stools for my kitchen, but I have been holding out for something ultra modern. The $13.00 price tag was appealing so I decided to make the purchase. Since the stools did not match my decor, I decided to modify them. I sprayed painted them cobalt blue (my favorite color).
