Quick and easy embroidered gift

Plus a tutorial... One of my closest friends recently became a single dad. This is his first 'Mother's' day. I decided to stitch up a quick and easy gift to help him celebrate. Light bulb air plant topiary

What would you do with and abundance of air plants and a burnt out light bulb? Here is what I did. [caption id="attachment_80" align="alignnone" width="410" caption="Light bulb air plant topiary"][/caption] I removed the top as well as the internal portions of the light bulb - (Click here for how to) - blinged it up a bit, etched some daises on the top portion and added some crushed shells and pebbles. I live on the beach in South FL. so shells are in abundance.   I grabbed some air plants from a tree in my back yard - another plentiful material...
