New Addition

Or should I say new Edition? In early August  one of my nieces' will be welcoming a new baby boy to the family. It has been a busy couple of months, so I have fallen behind on making the usual handmade welcome package. But all is not lost, last weekend I came across a few items I made 'back in the day' - about 16 years ago - I made them for my son's room. [caption id="attachment_380" align="alignnone" width="400" caption="Yepee"][/caption] I remember working on them on the train ride in to NY city where I was taking PASCAL classes @ City college. [caption id="attachment_382" align="alignnone" width="400" caption="Unicorn"][/caption] Both pieces are made using simple stem and satin stitch embroidery on an unbleached price of cotton fabric. The fabric is backed with batting and mounted on heavy duty card stock. I think I may put them in a frame.
