Hands and Heart Embroidery Project
My Valentine's day Project.
It is written, if you fancy yourself a crafter, you must create a project for every occasion:). Since we are in the season of Love, I have decided on a project that showcases my love for hand embroidered motifs.

I started the project by doing a simple illustration (in Adobe Illustrator) of 2 hands making the shape of a heart. I colored them then printed them on 100% cotton fabric - I use an Epson Workforce 1100 printer. Next, I carefully cut around the the outline of the image and then used a spray adhesive to attach the design to a an hand towel I had left over from another project.

The project looked a bit flat, do I decided to add red an white striped fabric - the heart - I outline it with red and white stem stitch. I also decides against the pink nail polish that I had in my original illustration. I opted instead for bright red nails.
Now, where should I display my handy work - I tried the kitchen - pairing it with my Holiday hand towel project (I am not ready to put away my holiday projects)... but I was uncertain.

I tried it in my powder room, and I liked it there, but I liked it in the kitchen as well.

I could not make up my mind on where to display the towel, so I made a second. Now I have one in the Kitchen and on e in the powder room.
XOXO
